Dr Adam Hartley is a Specialist Registrar in Cardiology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a Clinical Research Fellow, currently undertaking a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences in the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. His PhD is focused on the prediction, detection and treatment of atherosclerotic plaques that are at high risk of future rupture and the culprit for heart attacks. His research is supported by a prestigious Wellcome Trust PhD Fellowship. His clinical interests include Interventional Cardiology and the management of ischaemic heart disease.
His work within the group centres on trends in cardiovascular mortality, of which the most important contribution to the literature to date has been published in the esteemed journal Circulation and cited almost 150 times.
